About Us

Green National’s corporate headquarters is located in Skaneateles, New York. The company currently operates in multiple states and is continuing its expansion to operate in communities nationwide.

Originally founded in 2013, Green National started with the purchase of a 5-bedroom townhouse in the heart of Syracuse, New York. Today, the company has re-positioned itself in the multifamily affordable housing space and  manages over 3,000 units. Green National is poised to be a leader in the affordable housing industry with a focus on creating cleaner, safer, and sustainable communities.

Green National’s investment efforts focus on acquiring, recapitalizing, and redeveloping real estate assets. All departments of the company are focused on enhancing the longevity and quality of our communities. Strategically acquiring assets that are mismanaged allows Green National to step in and revitalize communities through investment and active management. A long term investment strategy ensures the best decisions are being made for the community and its residents.

Troy Green
Chief Executive Officer
Troy Green is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Green National. Outside of Green National, Mr. Green is Of Counsel at Woods Oviatt Gilman, LLP. Prior to co-founding Green National, Mr.Green was a co-founder of Greenland Property Services, a New York-based real estate asset management and operations firm. Mr. Green has an experienced track record in leadership, strategic planning and asset growth. He is responsible for the investment direction of Green National’s capital and acquisition decisions. Mr. Green received a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law  and a B.A. in Philosophy from Syracuse University.

Tim Green
Partner
Tim Green is a Co-Founder and Partner at Green National. Mr. Green brings over 25 years of legal experience to the company working Of Counsel at a New York based law firm. Mr. Green is a New York Times best-selling author who has written over 38 books, a former Fox Sports commentator and played 8 years in the National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons where he was a first round draft pick. He is responsible for overseeing all strategic planning opportunities and investor relations. Mr. Green received a J.D., Cum Laude, from Syracuse University College of Law and a B.A, Magna Cum Laude, from Syracuse University.

Christopher Moreland
Chief Operations Officer
Chris Moreland is the Chief Operations Officer at Green National. Prior to joining Green National, Mr. Moreland was a co-founder of Greenland Real Estate Property Services, a New York-based real estate asset management and operations firm. He has over 20 years of real estate experience specializing in multifamily and affordable housing. Mr. Moreland is responsible for directing operations for construction, dispositions and overall operations. He has a track record of raising revenue while reducing operating expenditures. Mr. Moreland received a Master’s in Business Administration and Management and a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Andrew Bailey
Executive Vice President of Development
Andrew Bailey is the Executive Vice President of Development at Green National. Prior to working at Green National, Mr. Bailey was an executive vice president at one of the largest affordable housing organizations in the nation and served as director of planning, preservation and development for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency. He has been involved in roughly $1.6B LIHTC developments and has approved over $1B in projects as head of OHFA. Mr. Bailey will oversee the day to day operations of development and the strategic growth of Green National. Mr. Bailey earned a Master's in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University.

Becky Murphy
Executive Vice President of Operations
Becky Murphy is the Executive Vice President of Operations at Green National. Ms. Murphy has worked in the affordable housing industry for over 17 years with program experience including Project Based Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Rural Development and Housing Choice Vouchers. Ms. Murphy develops and executes policies and designs systems to adhere to program eligibility requirements for HUD, LIHTC and Rural Development communities. Ms. Murphy also plays an integral role in both training and personal development of Green National employees. She received a B.S., dual concentration in finance and economics, from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Greg Bierbaum
Vice President of Management
Greg Bierbaum is the Vice President of Management for Green National. Mr. Bierbaum brings over 10 years of real estate management experience to Green National. Prior to joining our team, he was the vice president of operations and director of resident advocacy at one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations. He was responsible for overseeing 9,000 units with commmunities in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, New York and Pennsylvania. Mr. Bierbaum received a B.A. in Business Administration and Pastoral Ministry from Barclay College.

Alonzo Berton
Vice President of Accounting
Alonzo Berton, CPA, is the Vice President of Accounting at Green National. Mr. Berton possesses over 7 years of professional accounting experience while working at top accounting firms in the state. Previous professional titles include senior tax associate, senior associate and supervisor. As the head of accounting, Mr. Berton prepares and reviews complex business tax returns, prepares GAAP financial statements and business valuation services for compliance, planning and transnational support. Mr. Berton received a B.S. in Accounting, minor in Economics, from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Jill Czerniak
Vice President of Human Resources
Jill Czerniak is the Vice President of Human Resources at Green National. Ms. Czerniak holds over 20 years of professional human resource experience and over 10 years of professional experience in the real estate industry. Ms. Czerniak is senior certified through the Society of Human Resources Management and a certified payroll professional through the American Payroll Association. She oversees all aspects of payroll, human resources and benefits for Green National and its employees. Ms. Czerniak holds a Master of Business Administration, concentration in Human Resource Management, and a B.A. in Accounting from Cleveland State University.

Connor Hill
Development Manager
Connor Hill is the Development Manager at Green National. Prior to working at Green National, Mr. Hill's professional experience includes working as a financial analyst for a New York-based hedge fund and as an analyst for a Miami-based private equity real estate development firm. He brings experience in investment strategy, valuation and financial structuring. At Green National, Mr. Hill is responsible for the acquisition, complex financial modeling and redevelopment of the company's multifamily communities. Mr. Hill received a B.A. in Political Science, concentration in International Relations, from Yale University.
